It is the struggles in our lives that make us,
break us, and bring us closer together.

When I was just 2 years old, my mother left our family of eight without intentions to return.

This unexpected parting would challenge me throughout my life in ways that I didn’t think were possible.

I didn’t have the loving embrace of a mother to hold me after a long day, and I didn’t have her gentle fingers to brush away my tears.

Instead, I had to learn to find comfort in my remaining family and in myself.

Much of my life has been spent in search of my mother. From the time that I was young enough to notice her absence to my adult years that I longed for her presence, I knew that I needed to find her.

Eventually, I realized that I had to take matters into my own hands if I wanted to see her again.

No matter how often I felt like finding my mother was impossible or I was told that it was a lost cause, I powered through in my search.

Soon enough, I was recommended a digital search website that could locate people with just a bit of information.

On March 2, 2018, after 49 long years, I found my mom!

Meeting my mother after 49 years was an emotional experience that I want to share with the world; today, that’s possible!

My four memoirs delve deep into my struggles, encouragements, and triumphs that led me to finding my mother after so long.

I wanted to create a series based on my true story that could spark hope for people that are in similar situations and those who are inspired by my story.

I am blessed to have found my mother after so long and to have the opportunity to share my story with you with these memoirs that are dear to my heart.
